Bolt-Tongue

A large predator from the boreal north of Darwin IV, the Bolt-Tongue is a tundra-dwelling, little-known relative of the Arrowtongue. They seize their prey in essentially the same manner, by shooting out its razor-sharp, retractile proboscis to impale and inject with digestive fluids. What appears to be eyes on the cephalon (head) are actually sonar ports to project and receive echolocation.
